Our Advocacy
BIND PAC is dedicated to advocating for critical federal and local issues representing our African diaspora business owners & professionals community.
Your support is crucial to elect and re-elect candidates who share our principles, irrespective of their political affiliation. Our diverse membership spans various industries, yet legislative, legal, and regulatory decisions at county, state, and federal levels impact all aspects of our businesses. Unity strengthens our voice. Our PAC strives to triumph in the collective challenges we encounter, beyond individual political leanings or affiliations.
What's Required
"The first step in achieving political influence is to organize," as the saying goes. We represent the African Diaspora business community, facing significant issues such as threats to the 8(a) business development program, rollbacks in Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, heightened focus on U.S. trade with Africa, and the increasing volume of remittances to Africa.
Our PAC is our most potent tool for advocacy. We invite the support of all Native African business owners.
Tracking Legislative Policies & Impact
BIND PAC focuses on areas of business interest based on current legislative policies & activities that support our mission. Micro, Small & Mid-size business Enterprises (MSMEs) are the engines of the economy. As MSMEs interested in advancements in U.S-Africa trade, we pay attention to the policies and programs that promote this. Under the Biden Administration (which Vice President Kamala Harris plans to continue), a lot of advancements have been made such as:
- Since 2021, the U.S. Government has helped close more than 900 deals across 47 African countries for a total estimated value of $22 billion in two-way trade and investment.
- Delivered more than $250 billion to small businesses through SBA’s lending programs by the end of the decade.
